The state of Iowa mandates that divorcing families attend a class that provides education and affirmation for parents with children in the middle of the divorce. Children which may be facing a change in their living arrangements.

Why attend a class designed to assist children in the middle?
“Mandatory Education for Divorcing Parents
Iowa law requires that parties to any action which involves the issues of child custody or visitation must attend a court-approved course about the affects of divorce on children. In all judicial districts, there are courses such as “Children in the Middle or Children Cope with Divorce. These classes are designed to help minimize the negative impact of divorce on children and educate parents about the needs of children whose parents are divorcing.
Parents are required to attend within forty-five days of the service of original notice or application for modification of an order.” *

Payment Options
Family Development Associates accepts PayPal payments. For online classes, you will receive a PayPal payment request from Family Development Associates. Payment required to receive your class completion certificate.
Completion Certificates
Online (Zoom) Attendees who have paid prior to classes will receive certificates once the class is completed. If payment is received after the class, certificate will be provided after payment has been received.
In Person Attendees paying in Cash will receive their certificate upon completion of the class. If paying by Check, the certificate will be mailed 10-14 days after completion of the class.
